E-type whitewall tires

Hi,

Does anybody knows where a can find radial whitewall tires for a 1962 E-type.

Thanks.

When looking for tires, you may wish to consider whether the tires carry DOT or ECE approval ratings. Not all tires for old cars carry road-approved ratings.

I put Hankooks on my 69 FHC, but it depends on what tire size you’re looking for. Its getting harder to find, for example, 205s in a whitewall. I used the search tool on Tirerack, but there are other sites that have search tools.

What whitewall look do you want? Are you looking for a US style wide whitewall? As you probably know, American cars went to a thinner whitewall in ‘62. But I think I’ve seen historic photos of US spec E-Types with the wide whitewall in ‘62.

I bought these for my Series 2, thin whitewall, period look and radials. Don’t think they’re correct for a ‘62 but if you want a radial whitewall with a vintage look:

And then there’s the photo at the top of this page.

+1 for Universal Sport Classics. I’ve had two sets on my '67. Love the look and the street use performance is well within my needs. I can’t comment on how they would do for racing.
