[E-Type] windshield washer pump

I would be interested in what pump you find that works. I see on
carparts.com there is a pump, ANCO, sku 11-100, $12.55 listed for our
car. Please let me know what you find.

OK. Maybe it’s time to let the cat out of the bag, so to speak.
At this point, all concourse judges please delete this message without
reading it, shut off your computers, go down to the local pub, drink a
fifth of burbon to burn out your short term memory, stagger home and
sleep it off.
I’m about to tell you that part of PrtyKty is not “original”. Sigh.
When restoring PrtyKty, my pump was not working. At that time I was in
the “do it all myself, completely” mode, so I disassembled it and found
the poorly made, flimsey motor was broken. The strap holding the brushes
was broke, and I did my best to repair and allign it. Well, upon
reassembly it didn’t work well, so I bought a cheapo deluxe universal
motor from JC Whitney and put it in line (series) with the original
motor. Now it works and has enough pressure to actually wash the
windshield.
I know. I know. The purists are screaming, which started the dogs
barking, the cat awoke in terror, jumped onto Aunt Ednas back and won’t
let go, and Grandma jumped and dropped the casserole on the floor.
Every concourse I have driven to and entered (in the driven class) I
have been beaten out by another “driven” entry that someone has
trailered in, taken off the tarp, rolled into position and dusted the
grass from their tires, thus showing a “perfect” car without a speak of
dust. So PrtyKty is only a “second place” car.
So I put on a spin-on oil filter, electronic ignition, and insulated
the exhaust pipes from the A/C lines. And I’m glad, you hear me, GLAD!!
OK, calm down LLoyd,no more coffee this morning. How about some cereal
and milk?
