A couple of weeks ago I was crossing the Washington dessert on my way to Jags on the island in Victoria during a heat wave. My rear-view mirror must have melted; I now have a low-tide line across it, between the tinted portion and a clear strip along the top edge. Can these things be fixed?
Sybesma’s Electronics can repair these mirrors. They did the warranty repairs for Jaguar in the 2000’s when these mirrors failed prematurely. I had them repair my 2000 X308 XJR mirror three or so years ago, worked great.

Sybesmas used to repair them for nearly free, but the prices have increased over the years. It is still a BARGAIN to get a repaired unit for about $100.
I have probably sent 10 or more to them for repair for my customers.
