I saw your posting on the subject but can’t offer anything helpful. It’s been too many years for me. I do remember that my '87 XJ6 Series III baffled an A/C guy who was looking for the charging port. And I do remember that some of the A/C hoses had different part numbers beginning sometime in '85.

I wonder what are the chances that sensor actually fails? Does it happen at all?

I suppose, but it must be a rare thing. In 20+ years I’ve never heard of anyone replacing one.

Yeah…will take off the pad, change the sensor and check the tubing, then.
