Etype photos - post some of your favorites!

Drew: Yes, the engine does sound pretty good. Tappet noise for 30 seconds on start but that is typical. Gearbox is a TREMEC 5-speed. Ist gear is pretty noisy but that is normal as well. IT SHIFTS … unlike our beloved Moss boxes. J J (I have had 4 of them so I can comment.)

Thought we needed some new Etype porn here so here’s some more!

And for every action there is an inverse reaction…

Ahhhhhhh,

Was it good for you, too?

Anybody got a match?

Very classy. I din’t think I’ve ever seen that color on an E. Is it original ?

That’s a fine looking S3 John

Signal Red…yup. Thank you.

Thank you. Driven almost every week for the last 43 years.

My S3 at “Golden Gate”, near Clarens in South Africa: (right-click and select “View Image” for best result)

…and next to a youthful athlete next to Sterkfontein (Strong Fountain) reservior :

Not original It falls somewhere between opalescent gun metal and silver

this pic is probably the winner. (cough)

How can that be the winner, shouldn’t the picture at least have a car in it, preferably an E type?

um. no. The hood ornament was enough.

I’ve always been partial to this beauty in Croatia…

And the contest rolls on. Think EARLY E-types…

Well, Bill B 2 said I already won the contest. But just in case CZJones doesn’t count , here is a picture of the very first E Type that Phillip Porter restored and owns. I read the book and as you can see the cover states it is the very first E type. You said to think early E Types well here it is. Except that a picture of it was posted way back up this thread by yourself with Sir William Lyons standing beside it at a cafe in Geneva with the press all around it.

And if you go waaaayyyy up the thread… Jerry Dodds posted a picture of it before that.

I may not quite be crying Uncle, but has your photo been posted yet?
Tom

Early enough?

OBL cars looking gorgeous with those white walls!
