Experience on 17" or 18" diameter wheels?

Hi,
Does anyone have any experience with 16X7 starfish wheels on a series 3? Would any spacers be needed? Which tire would be better, 225/55 or 225/60?

I don’t think Starfish are 16”. They are 15” and arrived around the time of the HE (mid 80s). FYI the early 90s did see a similar five spoke in 16”

I had an SIII with Starfish wheels. They are 15" x 6.5" so a 1/2" wider than the Kent style wheels. I used 225/60R15 tires and they handled well and looked good. No spacers or anything needed.

Thread update:
The car is now fitted with 8jx16 lattice Jaguar wheels, that required 6mm non-hubcentric spacers. All is great.

PS. I now have 2 8jx16 lattice Jaguar wheels that are surplus to requirements…
