Extraneous Screws in Holes in '38 SS Scuttle

I love it, and yes I could believe that’s what was there. The hole pattern looks about right.
Maybe it made sense to the original owner to put one near the carbs and fuel pump.
I guess that’s better than a glass water grenade.
Or do they have carbon tetracloride in them?

I see those Pyrenes in antique shops, never paid much attention to them, now I’ll look more carefully.

Trouble is, I keep thinking of Basil Fawlty in the episode where he pulls out what looks like a hotel sized Pyrene and shoots himself in the face with it.
