Factory Seat Label Tag

I thought this was so cool.
This tag was tied to the springs on the bottom of a Mark V front seat I just acquired.
Its the initials of the factory upholsterer who made it.

So now you know, that to be totally correct for concours, they are tied on with twine.
The seats that came in my car also have one or two of these, but the name is illegible.

I’ve had similar tags. Some specifying that the goods were carried by LMS [ London Midland Scotland railway]
And various notes and dates on the back of woodwork.

I found this on the back of my 1948 MK IV dashboard:

Whilst the dashboard was presumably assembled by Brenda in July 1948 the car was not delivered to the first owner until November of that year.

Just been given this photo of the 1950 Jaguar production line - do you recognise your seats in the production cage on the right? Perhaps F.M. is one of the workers in the picture.
