Steam and smoke emanating through mesh on heater case, steam and water seeping out from upper and lower hoses into firewall…
Any advice would be greatly appreciated.
Sounds like its time to remove and repair the heater core.
Thanks Robin, looking at an exploded view of the heater components I(Haynes E type Owner’s workshop manual p.266) I cannot see any heater core listed here. Please advise.
The heater core is inside the heater box ……remove the spring and the small bracket on the round rod…… Undo the screws on the out side of the heater….remove …… undo the top and bottom hoses on inside , then the heater core will slide out.
Don’t forget to empty the coolant from the system first.
The cores are available at manners,barratts or robey to name a few
