Fitted new LH fuel pump tunion and points, 3.8S

The LH fuel pump had become intermittent, so removed and fitted new points and trunion. Also a Moss supplied dual polarity diode replacing the silver cylindrical one which was there from the factory but had suspicions I may have killed it decades ago when I changed from positive earth to negative earth… I understand these diodes are intended to reduce sparking at the points? Road test seems satisfactory and no leaks at the banjo bolts.
