All though not a direct answer the DS was an internal factory model code for limousines, DB for small saloons/drop heads, DM was used for mid-sized saloons (owner driver), DE for the largest owner driver saloons and DC for commercial car-based chassis (ambulances).
I don’t think there was an actual word associated with the letter designation though. But I’ll be interested if someone does know!
