I have a 2004 XJ8 4.2L which shares a lot of Ford parts that are often under different part numbers - does anyone know of a crosswalk out there so that I can take advantage of that? For example ignition coils, harness connectors etc?
I’d try a real professional auto parts supplier, they cross referenced a bunch of Volvo marine diesel parts to generic from factory. Saved me a pile of cash.

I hit the old school store with the folks that have been behind the counter for 20 years, not the new chains with the pimply faced kids selling air fresheners. Talk to a few pro mechanics, ask where they source their parts.

Well again, not being local, I have to deal with what I have access to and most of them will claim to source from the dealer - that’s why I ask the questions to this group.
