Is there a protocol in place for ‘outing’ or otherwise linking to an off-site classified ad solely for the purpose of ‘it looks like a good deal and someone here might want it’?
Nope, even if it’s your own. There’s a protocol about not cluttering up technical forums with overt sales ads - including covert ‘what do you think my car is worth?’ ads. But linking to a full-on ad somewhere else is OK and it’s up to other listers not to turn the thread into a sales-fest.
