Ah, good times and the foolishness of youth…
I got stopped in my new RX7 by the Texas Highway Patrol in the 80s because of no plate. I forget what I said, but he said I had to have one and gave me a warning. My E-Type had a broken bracket that the body guy removed last summer when my car was being painted and the holes were welded shut. I keep my front plate in the box area behind the seats in case I am stopped.
