Fw: [xk] A Question-Is it an addiction or a Love? Jag rental

Occasionally when there were no side hideouts and the road was clear as
far
as I could see, and slightly downhill… 140+ mph.
This is not recommended for all readers who either enjoy having a driver’s
licence or a long life to live.

Hey Doc,
You must have driven the XJS to Arizona…
What was your top speed through some of the remote areas?

I feel as you do. I don’t even feel right when I have to rent a car
that
isn’t a Jag. BTW this is the first message from the great state of
Arizona, WE ARE BACK FOR 6 MONTHS. The top is down and the XJS made
it
down with flying colors… all 12 cylinders.

When I was 14 I had money saved ($175) to buy an XK120 ots. That
was
in
1955. My father nixed the idea as there was no heater, no top, no
side
curtains and we lived in Wisconsin. I’ve always regretted and
resented
that,
so have had 6 or 7 Jags along the way until I bought the 58 XK150

  1. Passed on 120s due to leg room.
I tend to think Jags may be embedded in ones genes. I’m not happy
    driving
any other type of car and have had a lot of nice cars.
