Geolocation info imbedded in pictures?

Greetings Forum Moderators:

If I upload a picture from my iPhone or similar, will the geolocation info come along with it, i.e. can the bad guys download the pictures or otherwise hack the site and determine to within 5 meters of where this car is located?

Excellent question.

As of right now, the Exif info is stripped out on uploading. Here is a thread from the Discourse site:

I’m not sure how you go about doing it on an iPhone, but on the windows platform you can strip EXIF info from an image before you upload it.

Thanks! Makes uploading a bit more fun if you know you’re not setting yourself up to be robbed. I lost this car once already to a robbery - it’s the only thing I got back!
