Youâre lucky that your bonnet came equipped with the bracket on it for the hydraulic piston that youâre able to use for the steel strap that you attach for safety. My early S2 bonnet doesnât have that feature.
Other attachment points are there. One person even used a chain:
A rope from the safety catch to the ceiling also works.
Quick update: I was able to reach the register nut by removing the rear-left wheel. The handbrake works better now. I also built the cribbing system suggested by Ahwahnee, a stack of 8 2x4s and it works very well. Did not need it for the handbrake issue, but Iâm sure itâll come handy soon. Thank you all!
