I have a 95 XJ12 that I removed the engine from. I am now reinstalling the engine and I have 1 four prong connector at the rear of the engine, (red, blue, brown, yellow wires) below the throttle pedestal on the right, that I can’t find the mate to plug in to.

I think it’s not plugged in at all. Hopefully I will remember to take a picture for you tomorrow.

Here are the pictures. I am not sure what this connector is for, but on my car it was never connected to anything.

My car has the same plug which is unused. I believe it is part of the secondary air injection system which is not fitted to my car.

Hmm… in theory my car should have the secondary air injection system. But maybe it isn’t operational anymore. I should investigate…

I think this goes to the Catalyst Thermocouples on ROW vehicles. Not in use on Federal.
