I have 91 xj40. Vanden plas. As I understand it. The bonnet Ref: part number CAP566 was replaced by JLM1766. My vehicle VIN# 646521. Will a JLM11006 from a 93-94 fit. Have been told that interchangeability from 87-94 should fit! Looking for expert advice! I don’t want to buy one that will not fit properly! Thanks in advance
I think the main differences are the structure of the underhood reinforcement/struts being that early hoods had provision for lighting fixtures where later hoods do not. The fabric liner (such as it is) will also be slightly different.
Outwardly and fitment-wise I believe they are identical.
