I found this great stuff for referbishing black vinyl. I used it on the dash and then on all other vinyl in my car and it makes the vinyl look like new

Restoration in a can. When I had a beat MGB in HS I took the seats out and rattle-canned some sort of dye/coating on them. It did hold up quite well for a few years.
Thanks for reminding me of this stuff - just order some for my non-Jaguar project.
It seems to hold up pretty well but I don’t have a long time experience.
Why am I reminded of that scene in The World’s Fastest Indian where Burt is caught spreading black shoe polish on his old cracked tires to make them look new.
