I lost my keys to my 1991 Jaguar Vanden Plas and no one on earth seems to be able to assist me. I’ve tried everything but this forum.
If anyone has a 1991 Jaguar Vanden Plas please see if the codes are in your manual or if you could get them from your dealer/locksmith. Otherwise, you may be in my shoes too.
If you can help I would be greatly appreciative.
My 1990 xj40 did not have the master key when I bought it 4 years ago, I only had the valet key. The jag dealer cut a master key based on my VIN number.
A few decades ago I posted a copy of a TSB we got when I worked at the Jaguar dealer.(76-64)
Remove the driver’s door handle and read the code from the little window in the lock barrel.

I’m going to look at my spare handle today and check that out as I messed up the coding on my passenger lock 10 years ago (!) and never fixed it. This week the passenger handle bit the dust so perfect time to recode the lock properly.
Last time I got the code right but put the discs in back to front …DUH!
