1965 E Type. With the ignition key in the on position I apply a load by either hitting the starter button or turning on the headlights everything goes dead (fuel pump stops dash light go out)
Battery is good (load tested) all connections are good, ground connection to body is good all clean with no corrosion. Ignition switch? any ideas.
Remove ALL fuses then go through your start procedure. If everything drops offline suspect a bad ignition switch! This is why we LOVE these cars sooooooo much!!!
Problem solved. Terminals were clean and the connection was good but where the cable enters the clamp there was impossible to see corrosion.
The hose clamp hack is temporary until I get a new cable.
