Ignition Timing v12 He

Using No 6 piston TDC to set timing for No1 piston compression stroke ,I cant use No1 cylinder as I have exhaust valve not closed right up,engine has not started in four years and hope to clear the valve after starting.
I know I have seen the answer in jaglovers forum, but cant find it,any help would be great thanks in advance

No. 1 and 6 are TDC at the same time so the timing mark position is the same for both.

Noman ,

Thanks for that info but L need the compression stroke on No1 cylinder so I can set the ignition timing.

                                                Cheers Des

Des, you can use either cyl for timing, you just have to use the appropriate rotor position in the distributor. Set crank at TDC and blow air into both cylinders thru the plug hole to see which is on Comp stroke.
