Inner female columns for the 140 and 150

I have play in the steering wheel on a couple of XKs. There is play in the splines between the female column and male columns. As I drive with the wheel almost fully extended, to give space for my thighs, the problem is more noticeable.
These female columns are not reproduced by anyone AFAIK.
Good second hand ones are worth trying.
Has anybody got any ideas?
