Do the Mk10, 420G need inner tubes with the stock steel wheels?
Don´t think so, but just checking.

Nope!

Now I have to type 20 characters to post this reply.
No, I have Firestone tubeless tires on my '67 420 and have used them for a few years. There have been no problems.
Wheels and tires aren’t my field of expertise by any stretch of the imagination, but it is my understanding that tubeless rims have a safety bead which helps prevent the tire carcass coming off the rim in the event of a loss of pressure.
Thanks Pat,
Yes, I remember now.
Best,
Peder
Good to hear from you again. Hope all of your cars run well and have great brakes.

I have a set of mk10 wheels sitting in my driveway from my mk10 with brand new tires installed… would you like them?
