Interior trim rail finisher

Hello to all,
Any advice on repairing/replacing the trim railing above the interior of the doors.
Looks like the previous owner had someone glue them on with this blackish adhesive.
On the passenger side, the trim is barely hanging on.
I’m not sure how to reattach it without using some type of glue.
Thanks for any advice!

If you want them from a facelift coupe I have a pair looking for a car.
They might fit on a car with window frames on the door but I have no way to tell.

I am guessing that you have a ‘88-‘90 with the motorized seat belts; the cant tail trim is very flimsy and the substrate cracks easily. There are 2 push clips at the rear that can be replaced with “Christmas” tree clips. At the front it is supposed to snap over the seat belt rail.
The first time they are removed they no longer hold and you will be forced to use an adhesive.
If you do not have the motorized belts, there are 4 clips per side that engage a socket, they can be replaced again with the “Christmas” tree clips. They are available at most auto parts stores in a variety of sizes.

Hi

Do you have this color?

I think all with the motorized used the same color; but I do not believe the facelift type are the same.

Yes Robert I have an 89 with motorized seat belts. Thanks for the info!

I believe I have a couple pair. Let me know if you want me to look for them.

Thanks Stephen!

I’ll let you know if I need new ones.
