Hello all, I’m new here and am trying to get all the electrical bugs out of my jag, I have an issue where the transmission light comes on sometimes, but my sport mode does not work at all, disconnecting and reconnecting the tcm removes the light

Hi, and welcome! Sorry I have no insight into these issues, but I did a quick search for “transmission light” and “sport mode” within this xj40 topic and there are a lot of posts, some of which might be helpful.
I hate to say that I have read all of them and was just seeing if there could be anything else before I pull a tcm from the salvage yard
Ah, ok. Some people don’t seem to realize the amazing amount of useful information that’s in here, at least at first. Hence, my reply. And, fortunately (for me), I don’t have any insight into the issues you are experiencing.
