IRS Rebuilder in DC Area

1970 XJ6 Series 1. Can anyone recommend a quality re-builder in the DC/Baltimore region?

There’s a good club locally with lots of contacts. Do you mean differential rebuilder or suspension, or both? Have you removed the unit from the car or do you want a drive in/drive out service? Whereabouts do you live in the D,M,V area and do you have the means fo ‘deliver’ the IRS?

Primarily differential. It’s not out yet and I’ll probably do the removal and take it to someone. It’s pretty growly and groany under load and leaks like a sieve.

Can’t be specific. If it is a Dana, an off road shop can deal with it just fine.

Alternately, just get a good used one via David Boger AKA everydayxj. A bit south of you, in one of the Carolina’s… Good guy, posts here from time to time and very reasonable…
