I have owned 2 . A 2.4 auto and now a 3 Lt auto.
I love them.
Apart from the mpg the are a good comfortable car to drive.
From what I have experienced, ladies seem to appreciate them more than the gents … So maybe it was a model marketed toward F buyers ? 
To be honest I mainly see men driving them. But there are only a couple more in my area. My partner has 3 classic Jaguar’s and after giving me some ribbing about mine he’s admitted it’s a good car and enjoys driving it.
Give it some thought you won’t be sorry😊
