I’m restoring my 1964 FHC and need a body shop to replace/repair lots of rusty sheet metal - floors, sills, toe boxes, boot floor, valences, door shut faces, door skins, rear wheel arches and lots more. I’ve gotten a few recommendations from other local E-Type owners and pulled a couple of others from J-L, but I’m having trouble finding someone who’s got space in their schedule in the not-too-distant future.
Appreciate any recommendations in VA, DC, MD or nearby states.
Chuck at Monocoque Metalworks would be my #1 choice for this type of work in your neck of the woods. Call him and find out what his schedule is looking like, but I suspect he is backed up for quite a while.
Yes…I had my ‘64 OTS restored by them 12 years ago and the car still looks and drives like new. It’s not unusual to see a dozen E-types in their shop at any given time.
