Thanks Pascal, I couldn’t find anything on the reports on the car shows in
the states or onjag-lovers or the official Jaguar sites.

Are you going to get one? They should go like the clappers.

Go to http://www.us.jaguar.com/ and you should get a flash page with
details of the new S-type range. I had a good look at the new S-type
R at the Detroit Motor Show yesterday. Very nice! I’d buy one in a
heartbeat if I had that kind of money! And the video of the car being
hurled along a beautiful, twisty, narrow road in the south of France
is magnificent. So happens I have drove that particular stretch of
road not so long ago - but not in a Jaguar, sad to say.

The interior is much improved, as is the front suspension from what I
understand. There is a new 6-speed automatic, and a 5-speed manual is
available but only on the 3.0 litre model.

The supercharged S-type R has a 0-60mph time of 5.3 seconds.

Actually I’d rather have one of the new Maseratis - but that’s even
further out of my price range…

Or maybe even “drove” or “have driven.” I speak English better than I
type it, I guess! The moral is that one should read before hitting

I’ve found a pic of a Supercharged S Type at the LA Show, it’s not a
particularly good shot but the general idea can be seen.
