[jag-news] Jaguar Announces June Sales

MAHWAH, N.J., July 3, 2001 - Jaguar North America (JNA) today reported 3,448
sales for the month of June 2001, a slight drop from last year’s strong sales
pace. Year-to-date sales now stand at 20,268.

“June sales of our XJ sedans and XK sports cars reflect strong demand, with
the highest monthly sales of the year,” said Fran O’Hagan, JNA vice
president, sales. “Our 2002 S-TYPE sedans have just arrived in dealerships,
and our new X-TYPE is just around the corner. The second half of the year
looks strong and our retailers are ready for the challenge.”

Strong sales in the face of heavy competition marked the XJ sedan’s best
month this year. 1,028 sales represent an increase of seven percent over
2000. Customers welcomed the arrival of summer by purchasing 601 XK sports
cars, an increase of five percent. After record sales for two months in a
row, S-TYPE sold 1,819 units.==
