Jaguar News Roundup

It’s the weekend, it’s spring (in the Northern hemisphere), time to get up from the computer and get out there and enjoy our cars. But first, a quick roundup of the latest news.

Jamal Hameedi, lead engineer at Ford Performance from 2013 to 2018, has taken on a new role at Jaguar Land Rover Special Vehicle Operations, according to Road & Track. Hopefully this means more (and more exciting) Jaguar SVO vehicles in the future.

Jaguar has created a special 50th anniversary edition of the XJ, and it’s a gigantic yawn. A wet blanket. A dog’s breakfast. Don’t take our word for it, read for yourself. Might be intended for Europe only though, the article doesn’t say.

Someone left their Jaguar XK in a marsh, for reasons that remain unknown. Then again, the road where it was found is called “Tidal Road”, that could be a big clue right there. Finders, keepers?

Have a great weekend, and keep the rubber side down (and dry).
