I’m a visitor from the E-type forum, posting on behalf of my son who has had a new I-Pace for about 4 months.
Yesterday, when turning a corner, the car started juddering - as if the ABS system was activating continuously. He switched off and on several times but the problem continued. He was able to drive home at about 3mph and park up.
This morning, the car was as right as rain.
Has anyone else had this?
Hi Tim, Did your son ever find out what the problem was? The brake system makes a loud creaking noise from behind the pedal. It does not have a servo but is an electrical system which I am told by Jag dealer makes a noise normally, but is annoying. I have not had the problem you described though, but have had several software crashes which immobilised the car.
The problem has not happened again. One possible explanation was that one of the ABS sensors got wet and confused the system, then after drying overnight all was well. If that’s the case, I would expect it to happen again one day.
Douse it with a garden hose, and see if that replicates the issue.
