You might also invest in a trouble code reader, or find an auto parts store that will read the codes for you for free.
I read about the code reader, I want to invest in one. But I’ll have to go to advance or something til I can… thanks

So my husband went to check the air filter (which looked brand new) and there was a bare wire from the map sensor and when it touched the metal if the Jag ( my husband still had the car on) the engine bogged down. So quite possibly found the problem he covered the wire in electrical tape and he works at a metal recycling place so he hunting for some rubber to cover where the wire had been making contact! Hopefully we have found and solved our issue! Thanks Rob Reilly for the tip!
