Leaping Cats Ltd liquidation?

I noticed a post on Facebook about their assets for sale, long time makers of XJK panels, and another traditional supplier going underside up…

Indeed they have decided to cease trading. This has the potential to make a dent in XK restorations. not only were they one of the very few shops that would take your rusted car and return a completed accurate restored body shell and chassis they also supplied most of the repair panels to other shops worldwide.
so here in the UK we have now lost…

Worrying times!!

I would recommend Martin Wentworth at A1XKS near Coventry UK, for new panels and restoration. Very helpful guy and excellent workmanship, and as you can imagine, getting busier!

probably be a good idea to monitor the liquidation sale and see if communication can be established with the new buyer, hopefully some keen-eyed resto specialist buys it and they have a customer base right here, so you would think it would be mutually beneficial

Bids for the tooling required by this coming Friday, 8th. It would be great if the tooling was kept as one and not split up. There must also be craftsmen from LC seeking work so I hope there’s a good outcome.

Just joined the forum after hearing about leaping cats liquidation.
Another very good company for XK “Nut and Bolt” restoration work and maintenance is Bristol Classic & Sportscars ltd.

Several of the former employees of Leaping Cats Ltd now work for nearby Retropower Ltd in Hinckley. So, their skills are being used to keep classic vehicles, including several Jaguars, on the road.
