Does anyone know if it is possible to replace a broken X Type regulator with a replacement regulator from a Ford? My mechanic told me that the window regulators from 01 to 08 will fit my car, but to shoot for a later one as they made incremental improvements over the years.
I do not know about regulators for X Types but the regulators for the S Type were Brose ones and the same as used in the Lincoln LS. They also had their share of warranty issues due to the cable operation system.
