Lets build a 1967 e type together

Well I just picked up the coupe…Last of the covered headlights.
It was in my driveway at 10 am and by 12 the pump, hoses and everything else has been taken out of the trunk.
With 72,000 original miles its great and not butchered.
It will be my next 30 year driver…So lets do it!
I was to tired for the tank but looks real tight.
The last three ive done I never removed the bracket on the bulk head.
Any ideas?
New pump, injection hose and all on the way……
Lets have fun!

Build date or number? My 67 FHC was built on 11/15/66 with a dispatch date of January 2 so needless to say I am very familiar with the last of the covered headlights.

Good!

Day one…
Fuel tank
Electric fuel pump
grommets
Vent tubes and drains
filler neck and all fuel injected lines!
This will be my NEW driver for close to 6 ,000 miles per year!
Thanks Drew,

Sent from my computer…
Look at the original primrose in the trunk and all. The car was repainted bout 28 years ago.
Tonight while waiting for the parts, will glue back the batting , change the front fuel filter and front fuel line.
Once again I WILL PREACH ETHANOL GAS HORROR STORIES.
The tank looked OK but once removed a film of yellow had coated the tanks and fuel bowl,
The previuos owner was complaining about hesitation and all that.
There was rust in the tank as well. Not bad but enough.
I put a can of vr racing fuel to the pump and bypassed the system, GEE it ran like BUTTA!
So replacing everything, so I don’t have to worry for the next 30 years.

COMMENT AWAY BOYS, THIS IS GOING TO TAKE A COUPLE YEARS.
Welch got this order…

Very nice! One of my favorite e-type colors.

Thank you…
Drew the number is 1E33329
Will vacuum the boot and wax out tonite as well…
How do I remove that horrible from brack for the plate?
Do I have to take all the pan screws out?

Replacing also the metal fuel line that runs under the car to the engine? Mine looked “fine” till it started leaking from a rusted area.

Nice friends on the truck!
There were two PROTOTYPE F PACE TRUCKS I COULDNT SHOW YOU…
The steel fuel line will go once we drop the rear in a month or so, when we switch to 307 gears…
Fun Fun Fun…

but the damn plate is the worst.

Front liscense plate bracket in first picture.
Its held by 2 nuts

Easy way to remove the rest of the gas without a mess
Note an inline Plastic filter with Heated plastic shrink line in the trunk!
Oh boy did that say fire?
All going for fuel injection hose and clamps!

That’s the panel with the six or eight screws, the flat piece in the center behind the center bar?

Yeah…I hope others are learning from our pain…I mean fun:)
Thank you my friend.

Very pretty car…looks tidy from what the pics show.

I owned 1E34499, which was a fairly early open headlight car. It always seems like Primrose was THE popular color in the 1E33xxx to 1E34xxx range.

I told you my friend after our last talk.
I always loved that color, you made me do it!

Pale Primrose was very popular on the Series 1 E Types. Clausagers book Factory Original E Type has a chart showing the number of Series 1(including 1.5s) by color that shows 2473 cars painted Pale Primrose. The only two more popular colors were Cream(2541 units) and Opalescent Silver Blue, the most popular color, at 2724 units.
