You do know that the tire is rated summer. That is published information
Many of us are somewhat frustrated that Vred has not, in our opinion been very clear on just what summer is. But they have been clear it is a summer tire, and they have been clear it is not for the winter. The industry seems to define summer as 40+F.
You also made a clear summary of the situation in post 81.
Vred has been clear. It is for summer. Each of us seemingly will decide how long and how cold summer is.
