Hi,
I’m working on fabricating an engine support tool, equivalent to the original MS53A / MS53B tools, to support the rear of the engine during for an upcoming clutch change, per the procedure outlined in the service manual. I’ll be making something similar to this design: http://jaguar.professional.org/fabricate/engine_support.php
However, looking at the engine today, I can’t find a lifting eye anywhere! The service manual implies that it should exist. Jaguar made this part for the XK6 engine https://www.jagshop.co.uk/shop-by-model/product/2350-engine-lifting-eye-pair-c23607 but I can’t find anything similar for the AJ6, indicating perhaps that there should be something permanently in place…
Can someone point me in the right direction?
