Lowering front suspension 420 sedan

I have a 1967 420 compact sedan. It had the AC option I removed when I was rebuilding the suspension and brakes. There were spacers on both sides above rhe springs. When I assembled the front springs I deleted the spacers. The front still sits too high for my liking and the camber could use more shims, but I have quite a stack already.

If I can add a washer or two between the spring pan and A-arm at each bolt, I think it would help both problems. Has anyone attempted to do this?

Hi, I also have a 420 sedan, generally the gap between the top of the tire and the top of the wheel arch is about three fingers. Yes this gap seems big to me, but when I carefully examined the factory brochures the gap is there.

Regards,
Allen

I fitted uprated springs to my 240 , left in picture
Ps , is now fitted with a XJ6 3.4 Engine !

I lowered my Mk2 by putting spacers between the pan and the A arm. I got longer grade 8 bolts and very thick steel spacers (3/8" of space) - it’s been about 5 years and no trouble, and it lowered the front end nicely.

Thank you for the information .
