Lug Nut Options?

Ahoy !
2002 S-type; 4.0L V-8; N/A; 16 inch “Sport” (10 spoke) Wheels (Yes, 16")
One of the lug nuts has damage to the chrome steel "jacket"such that a socket does not freely slip on and, so, the lug nut must be replaced. (I am guessing a high-powered impact wrench may have spun the the steel jacket a bit).
Is there a proven alternative lug nut to the OEM “jacketed” style fitted to my car ?

I had the same problem with one of mine. What happens is they get rust inside the chrome jacket and they grow. Had to hammer on a socket to get it off. It was just the one so I just replaced it with the same type, got it from Welsh Enterprises in Ohio. I use anti-seize on my studs. Haven’t had a problem since.

DORMAN makes compatible lug nuts. I believe the thread is M12 x 1.5mm

Hello.
No wheel nuts for S-Type is listed in their catalogue.

Yes - rubber mallet to lightly drive socket onto wheel nut.
I am reluctant to get the same style as replacement - heck, it’s a foolish design.

Check for lug nuts for the lincoln ls. They should be interchangeable.

I use Dorman 611-117 for my customers when the OEM fail.

I see they are spec’d for Japanese cars and 21mm hex, not 19mm hex.
Is their 37mm length workable for S-type ?
Thanks.
