Did somebody try to put an hybrid toyota engine in a jaguar xj or xjs?
The 2.5l delivers 223hp and drinks around 7l every 100km.
My xj12 is 285hp and 20l every 100km.
I am only aware of the guy in New Zealand, who built a junk XKE into a drift car using a Toyota engine. I have not heard of someone using a Toyota in an XJ6. Might’ve happened!
Is 223HP on hybrid mode or just the engine?
The hardest part would be to transfer the engine management system, that is probably 80% of the car’s electric system as everything is connected to everything nowadays, and of course the battery pack.
It might be simpler to go full electric…
