I’m having trouble finding info on which big block chevy exhaust
manifolds will work on an '84 XJ12 conversion. Help appreciated!

I am installing a 396 Chevy in an '84 XJ12. I need info on what
exhaust manifolds or headers will work. Advice will be extremely
appreciated! Any other advice on big block installation will also
be appreciated. Thanks for your consideration.

In reply to a message from westtexashawk sent Thu 3 Apr 2003:
I don’t know which header is called for, but from a recent project
I can give you two useful leads.
Sanderson headers/manifolds give probably the best measurements and
diagrams on the internet including measurements.
Hedmans block hugger is the tightest fitting header I could find,
though the collector was smaller than I wanted for a 550hp engine.
If the work, they are less than $200 from Summit.–
