Actually it may not be a true Devin body. Up until a couple of years ago I
had one that was mounted on a sprint car chassis. It had a 327 under the
hood. I had an opportunity to talk with Bill Devin and he wanted to see pics
of mine. When I sent them to him, he became irate with me and said it wasn’t
one of his cars. Later I found that someone took one of his bodies, made
molds and did some knock-offs. They were up in the Great Lakes area. Mine
was originally titled in Michigan. Guess somehow he knew.
I sold mine – running at the time for a paltry $2800 to a guy in the
Carolinas. I still have pics around here somewhere.
