[Lumps!] motor mounts-just a note

Just a note here, but I will otherwise stay out of
this conversation- the Suncoast mounts do not require
ANY oil pan modifications. All stock Chevy pans
(except for the 84 and up long sump Corvette units
will work as-is). If you have a Corvette pan on your
engine, it’s a simple job to switch to a standard
Camaro (or regular passemger car style) pan.

Any questions on this, please Email me back

Sorry if I spread some misinformation in my previous post. I sourced my
mounts from a parts car that was already converted. My parts car had a
bashed oil pan, and when I installed my TBI I had to make slight
alterations as well. Have they changed the Suncoast mounts over the
years or have they always been bash free? Perhaps I do not have
authentic suncoast mounts… that’s possible. I had posted pics to the
list years ago asking for indentification of what I have and was told
that they were Suncoast units.

They may very well have been Suncoast Mounts, or a
copies. Although I do sell to shops occasionally, I’m
convinced some places buy just one set to get the
design details, and then copy-fabricate additonal sets
as they need them. If your parts are built on a jig,
(like Suncoast’s are) the pieces come out the same
every time. However, most people don’t do the Jig
thing, so who knows what comes out at the end.

I worried a lot about the copying thing for a while,
but inm reality, what could we do???
