One of the other Forum members needs to know where these wires go:
Black with Brown stripe,— White with Brown stripe,— Green,—
and White with Black stripe…
It is the four (4) wire connector to the Jaguar engine. He has
installed a small block Ford V8 already and needs this information
to finish up the conversion.
Its a 1973 XJ 6 possibly a early production???
My S1 has been so royally screwed up by DPO’s that I cannot help
him, my colors have been changed along the way.–

While an older than can be thread, I was searching the same and it appears only one on the subject.
Got out my old Series 1 XJ6 manual and perhaps can give back and help others who search in the future.
Green goes to water temp at rail. I looked closely and mine appears solid green, however diagram states Green/Blu
Blk/Wht to distributor.
Wht/Brn Oil pressure sender
Blk/Brn Oil pressure switch
However I do have a also a Blk/Red in that same area beneath carbs coming from front to back of car, beneath front suspension area.
Can’t think what that could be…
BR wire (Black and Red) is only shown coming from the horn relay wire that is G (Green) to a Throttle Switch that
becomes BR to the Kickdown Solenoid (Auto trans only).
