Mark V Lucas 53145/A Chrome Screw Spec

Did Lucas use Phillips screws for securing chrome surround on late Mark V? My car has Phillips screws and a Sunbeam seen this morning also has Phillips type.

You got to give us a better hint than that, Roger.
Headlight, taillight, reverse light, horn, dashboard?

Whoops. The 53145/A is the tail/stop lamp assembly with the chrome surround screwed in by one screw on each end.

Hi Roger,

Looking at my Brown Brothers 1954 catalogue none of the Lucas lamps have other than slotted screws and this is confirmed in the Lucas catalogue for 1954.

Mine are slotted. I don’t see any Phillips heads on anything on this car except the inside door locks, nor on my 120.

Thanks folks, slotted screws are on the list now for those Mark V rear lights.

Memory a few years old is that Lucas has Phillips head screw(s) somewhere inside the Mark V windshield wiper motor/transmission unit.

Cover screws certainly aren’t slotted but neither are they cross head types.
