Here is my light with the MGTC chrome cover.
I got it from an MGT specialty shop called From The Frame Up in Arizona.
It was a loose fit so I had to bend out the flower petals of the florette a little bit.

I found this inexpensive switch which is adjustable and fits without modification:
As always there is a variation on the theme. The bulb covers have the key pressed into the edge to engage in the gap between the fingers to enable switching.
However, the key pressing needs to be located to suit the orientation of the lamp body whether it be horizontal, vertical, or angled left or right as for the MG T series dashboards, where they are map lights and must shine down.
