Mk10 bonnet drain tubes

Need to install the flexible drain tubes that are located at the windshield side of the bonnet gutter on a Mk10. We don’t have the originals to go by so I had a few questions:

  1. what material was the tube originally? Clear or black rubber…?

  2. are the tubes held on by a regular Cheney style hose clamp?

  3. Do the tubes just hang freely down the inside of the wing until they exit near the opening on the bottom or are they attached to anything with a P-clip or something?

So we’re on to these little details cause the car is nearly done (except for installation of the new interior). Cranked it over for the first time in many years the other day - started instantly and runs smooth - It’s a great feeling when they come back to life after so much work!

Thanks

I found some NOS ones years ago. It is quite possible that I may have another set in the attic. They are just black rubber hoses that hang down into the fender at the very corner of the rear portion of the wheel opening. No clamps.
